United Arab Emirates: Emirati Media Forum kicks off in Dubai

Organized by the Dubai Press Club, the forum provides a platform for high-level dialogue among various Emirati media stakeholders to discuss media development requirements in the coming period given regional and international changes.

Maitha Buhumaid, Director of the Dubai Press Club, said: “Our meeting today comes as the world we knew a few years ago has changed after witnessing several developments and changes at different levels. The forum will discuss the expected role of the Emirati media in the next phase, in hopes of creating a future where the UAE continues its leadership regionally and internationally in different fields, she added.

Buhumaid stressed that the Emirati Media Forum represents an opportunity to build on the successes achieved by our local media to find out how to build on these achievements to establish a new phase of media development based on the realistic disclosure of the challenges most challenges facing our media and how to overcome them.

“The media is going through a very important transition phase amidst various challenges, especially the challenges faced by the print media,” said Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, diplomatic adviser to the President of the United Arab Emirates, in a keynote address at the forum. medias.
