Abu Dhabi: The UAE is expected to host five major regional and international events, including Expo 2020 Dubai, over the next 10 days.

The busy schedule of major events reflects the world’s confidence in the UAE’s efforts and success in containing the global COVID-19 outbreak after reaching high immunity to ensure a safe return to normalcy, amid carefully defined measures to ensure the safety of its residents and visitors.

Expo 2020

Dubai is preparing to host Expo 2020, which will take place on October 1 as the world’s first largest event to be held during the COVID-19 pandemic in a healthy and safe environment. The United Arab Emirates is preparing to host the mega global event after successfully administering vaccines to over 90% of its population against COVID-19, the highest vaccination rate in the world, making it one of the top five countries in the world for vaccine distribution.

The Expo event reflects the world’s confidence in the prestigious position the UAE occupies in terms of development, prosperity and the high level of safety and security it enjoys.

Al Ain Book Fair

The list of events also includes the Al Ain Book Fair which will be held at Zayed Central Library from September 21-30, with over 100 exhibitors and publishing houses participating in this year’s edition.

With 50 speakers from cultural figures, writers, intellectuals and elite artists, the Al Ain Book Fair returns this year with a hybrid edition that combines rich and useful live activities and virtual sessions. . It also welcomes its visitors to present the latest books and shows in different fields.

ADIHEX

Abu Dhabi is set to host the 18th edition of the International Hunting and Riding Show (ADIHEX 2021), the largest event of its kind in the Middle East and Africa, from September 27 to October 3 at the National Center for Abu Dhabi exhibitions.

The two-day forum, organized under the theme ‘History lessons, future ambitions,’ will see 31 informative and insightful events, including seven panel discussions, five inspiring discussions, seven training workshops and 12 interactive sessions, all focusing on developing a plan for the future – preparing government communications.

MEIDAM

Dubai will host the Sixth International Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine Middle East Conference and Exhibition (MEIDAM) from September 23-25, attended by 1,500 doctors from 41 countries. The three-day event will be held with the support of the Dubai Health Authority, the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Ministry of Health of Abu Dhabi.

The conference will host 164 regional and international speakers, including speakers from the World Health Organization (WHO), with six parallel science programs over three days.

For the sixth year in a row, at the conference premises, there will be a clinic approved by the Dubai health authorities, in which injections and cosmetic procedures will be performed throughout the three days of the conference. The event will also see the conduct of six workshops per day.
