The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi stressed the need for a peaceful solution to the crisis

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, discussed by telephone with Russian President Vladimir Putin a number of regional and international issues, as part of wider discussions that included earlier calls with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and French President Emmanuel Macron.

During the call, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed was briefed on the latest developments.

Bilateral relations between the two countries and developments in the energy market in light of Russian cooperation with the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the importance of maintaining stability in the energy market were also discussed.

Sheikh Mohamed was also briefed by the Russian President on developments in Ukraine.


Sheikh Mohamed stressed the need for a peaceful solution to the crisis in a way that safeguards the interests and national security of all parties.

His Highness emphasized that the UAE will continue to coordinate with relevant parties to help find a lasting political solution to the current crisis.
