Dubai: The United Arab Emirates will never forget the country’s martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the good of the nation, said His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday and ruler of Dubai, as the United Arab Emirates marked Remembrance Day.

In a tweet on Remembrance Day, celebrated on November 30 each year, Sheikh Mohammed said: “We bear witness that our heroes sacrificed their lives for the sake of their homeland. The people of the Emirates testify that they are the champions of glory and honor. The history of the United Arab Emirates testifies that they risked their lives for the good of their homeland. May God have mercy on our martyrs. May God have mercy on our heroes. We will never forget them. Future generations will not forget them.

In a statement to ‘National Shield’, the magazine of the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed said that the good deeds and sacrifices of the martyrs will remain as long as there is life and their blood will show. in our identity, strengthening our glory.

For his part, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Arab Emirates, said that the courage and sacrifice of the martyrs will inspire future generations.

“Today we honor the heroes who gave their lives serving and protecting our nation. Their courage and sacrifice will inspire future generations and their memory will forever be etched in the history of the United Arab Emirates. The Abu Dhabi Court of the Crown Prince’s Martyrs’ Family Affairs Office was established to oversee these initiatives, monitoring and reviewing the needs and demands of the families of martyrs, and drafting and implementing related programs and projects. Its mandate is to follow the requests of the families of the martyrs in coordination with the other authorities and to provide them with the necessary support and care.
