Opening of a Dh40m spice factory in Ajman – Business

Arab & India Spices, one of the leading food manufacturers in the United Arab Emirates, has opened its new state-of-the-art food processing plant in Ajman for an estimated investment of 40 million dirhams.

Anurag Bhushan, Consul General of India in Dubai, inaugurated the new high-tech food processing plant, which has an annual production capacity of 2,000 tons of food products, in the presence of Saif Saeed Al Nuaimi, eminent figure of the emirati affairs.

Arab & India Spices is one of the first food factories in the Middle East region to process a range of food products including pulses and ground spices. The new plant is part of the company’s plans to drive continued growth in its business in the UAE and further expand into other parts of the Gulf region.

Opening the factory, Bhushan said, “Indian food products and spices are very popular in the UAE and the region for their highest quality standards. Indo-GCC trade is of vital importance to both regions for the continued prosperity of the market. The Gulf region is a major target market for India’s main food export.

Commenting on the launch of the new factory in Ajman, Harish Kumar, Managing Director of Arab & India Spices, said: “We are extremely proud to open the new factory at the company’s premises in Ajman. We have now diversified our business from milling and grinding to whole spice processing and consumer packaging. We are making investments to drive long-term sustainable growth, and this new plant is a crucial part of our growth strategy to help us consolidate and expand our market share in the Middle East region.

“We have global standards and quality control measures in place to ensure the safety of food produced in our factory and marketed throughout the region. We already have state-of-the-art machines, including eight British-origin ‘Z’ Category Sortex machines, which help us maintain the high quality standards we have set for our products, ”he said. added.
