Millennium Plaza Hotel Dubai honors breast cancer survivors – News


The Millennium Plaza Hotel commemorated Breast Cancer Awareness Month with an insightful and engaging session honoring survivors and raising awareness among guests and activists at their Views @ 61 restaurant. Breast cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in the United Arab Emirates, the number of people suffering from it has increased by 20% since 2009, according to figures released by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA). The breast cancer awareness session aims to raise awareness of the importance of regular breast screening as a key preventive measure against breast cancer.



Speaking on the occasion, Fadi Ammache, General Manager of Millennium Plaza Dubai, said: “We want to show our sincere commitment to maintaining a healthy community. Health is our number one priority, which is why we always strive to offer healthy alternatives and help with awareness. In this Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we want to honor the heroes in our society who not only fought this difficult battle, but who inspire others and give a glimmer of hope.

Highlights of the session were the stories shared by the brave breast cancer warriors who focused on the importance of breast cancer awareness, educating them on proper examination methods and key indicators to watch out for. . A rose-themed cake-cutting day was held on October 28, bringing together hotel management, staff, guests and the brave warriors.
