AJMAN, 18th March, 2022 (WAM) — His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council of Ajman, has paid tribute to the winners of the 5th Annual Government Excellence Award of Ajman, at a ceremony organized by the Ajman Excellence Program and attended by all government departments in the emirate.
During the event, Sheikh Ammar launched the “Ajman Community Award”, which aims to motivate community members to engage in improving public services to the highest levels of quality.
Honoring the winners of the award gives them the opportunity to improve their performance and engage in the development process, as directed by the leadership of the UAE, he added.
“Our government has taught us that the impossible does not exist. Therefore, the government of Ajman is moving forward with confidence towards realizing this vision,” said Sheikh Ammar, praising the hard work of government institutions and initiatives, programs and services in line with the best local and international standards.
He also affirmed the need to make progress in the work of the government, launching better and affordable services.
At the end of the event, Sheikh Ammar presented the winners with their awards, accompanied by Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matroushi, Secretary General of the Executive Council and Supreme Supervisor of Ajman’s Excellence Program, and Dr. Hajar Saeed Al Hubaishi, Executive Director. from the Ajman Center for Statistics and Competitiveness.
Ajman Police won the “Best Government Department Award for Strategic Results Achievement”.
Three authorities won the “Best Government Department Award for Achievement of Excellent Organizational Performance”, namely Ajman Police, Municipality and Planning Department and Port and Customs Department.
The Ministry of Economic Development won the “Best Government Department Award for Customer Satisfaction with Electronic Services”.
Four authorities won the “Best Government Department Award for Statistical Maturity Index”, namely the Department of Municipalities and Planning, Department of Economic Development, Department of Ports and Customs and Department of Development of tourism.
The award for “Category of Best Practices in Government Policy Making with an Evaluation Score of Exceeding 85%” was awarded to two entities, namely the Department of Municipality and Planning for its policy of housing organization, and the Department of Economic Development for its export development policy.
The Department of Lands and Property Regulatory Authority won the “Comprehensive Experience Category for Government Services” award, earning the highest score in providing comprehensive government services.
