Dubai’s Emaar to open first Vida hotel outside the United Arab Emirates in Bahrain in December

Travelers to Bahrain will soon be able to stay at the kingdom’s newest hotel. The Vida Beach Resort Marassi Al-Bahrain is preparing to welcome visitors by the end of the year.

The family-owned property will be Emaar’s first hotel in the kingdom and the first Vida resort to open outside the United Arab Emirates.

Located on the Marassi waterfront, the new hotel will give visitors access to a pristine private shoreline and connect directly to the soon to be opened Marassi Galleria Mall in Bahrain, making it ideal for those who enjoy shopping.

With 157 hotel rooms and 141 hotel residences, Vida Beach Resort Marassi Al-Bahrain plans to accommodate both short-term stays and long-term visitors.

All of the hotel’s rooms offer views of the ocean or the island of Diyar al Muharraq. Contemporary interiors let in plenty of natural light and reflect the resort’s waterfront setting.

Guests can dine at the Originals, a relaxed restaurant also found at Vida Emirates Hills Dubai and Vida Beach Resort Umm Al Quwain.

A temperature-controlled rooftop infinity pool offers stunning views of the surrounding Arabian Gulf and the sea-facing pool bar will be the perfect spot for aperitifs.

The hotel also has a fully equipped gym with a view of the water and the youngsters have their own swimming pool and supervised kids’ club. Unlike some of Vida’s other properties in the UAE, the hotel will not accept pets.

“We are delighted to bring Vida Marassi Al-Bahrain to one of the most influential travel and business markets,” said Mark Kirby, Hospitality Manager at Emaar Hospitality Group. “The serene resort property will soon be one of Bahrain’s most sought-after vacation destinations, as well as a testament to our warm hospitality.”

Marassi Galleria is a mega beachfront shopping mall slated to open in Manama in 2022. It will house the 8,199 square meter Marassi Underwater Aquarium and Zoo, as well as the first Reel Cinemas site, in Bahrain. The planned development of Marassi Al Bahrain will feature high-end residential, commercial and hotel components when completed, with a new Address hotel also set to join the Vida property on the Marassi waterfront.

New hotels to open in Bahrain

Vida Beach Resort Marassi Al-Bahrain isn’t the only hotel to debut in the kingdom.

Minor Hotels recently announced the opening of its first properties in Bahrain, with the launch of Avani Bilaj Al Jazayer Bahrain Resort and Tivoli Bilaj Al Jazayer Bahrain Resort. The properties will welcome guests in 2024.

There was also a lot of buzz on the highly anticipated island of Mantis Bahrain Hawar. Scheduled to open off Bahrain in 2024, the luxury eco-resort will have overwater villas, a wildlife reserve and an on-site adventure park and will only be accessible by private boat or helicopter.

Next year, the Shangri-La Hotel, Bahrain, a 250-room five-star hotel, will also open its doors to guests in its waterfront location at Bahrain Marina.
