The Government of Dubai’s Department of Finance (DoF) has stated that customers of all government entities can benefit from the development of paying transaction fees with direct debit cards linked to their current or savings bank accounts, through the DubaiPay digital portal.

Last year, the DoF waived the commission customers incur when paying government transaction fees from their checking and savings bank accounts using their debit cards.

In the amount of Dh3, the DoF has confirmed the cancellation of the commission used to be collected when customers pay fees associated with services provided by all Government of Dubai entities through the DubaiPay portal.

Jamal Hamed Al Marri, Executive Director of the DoF Central Accounts Sector, said, “The DoF is committed to providing all government customers with the best, most convenient and secure smart channels to pay for their transactions.

“We have therefore increased to fifteen the number of banks whose customers can use their debit cards to pay fees for various transactions and government services, and these debit cards can now be used without commission.”
