Ajman: A green pass on the official UAE Al Hosn app will be required by all visitors and staff to enter local government departments in Ajman, starting January 3, 2022, officials said on Monday .

The emergency, crisis and disaster management team in Ajman, in coordination with the Emirate’s Executive Council, approved the green pass system – which is a measure to control the spread of COVID-19 – to enter all local government facilities in the emirate.

This decision follows the recent decision of the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the National Crisis and Disaster Management Authority regarding the implementation of the green laissez-passer system in all federal entities.

From January 3, 2022, only people who have been fully vaccinated and have a green pass will be admitted, as well as people exempt from compulsory vaccination and children under 16. Rather, exempt categories will need to show a negative PCR test result to enter government offices.

PCR tests

Green pass holders will still need to perform a PCR test every 14 days to ensure the effectiveness of the green pass system in the Al Hosn app.

People excluded from vaccination will also be allowed to enter government entities, if their status in the Al Hosn app appears in green. However, they must do a PCR test every seven days. This is in addition to children under 16 who are not required to perform laboratory tests.
