More and more employees will gradually begin to return to work as the coronavirus crisis subsides.

The circular, which follows on from the President of the Executive Council’s resolution No. 7 of 2020 concerning the crisis management policy of the Ajman government, exempts certain categories of employees.

These include:

– Pregnant women

– Determined people

– People with compromised immunity and chronic diseases.

– Over 60 years old.

– Employees caring for children aged 9 and under and specific children whose conditions require constant care.

– Collaborators in shared accommodation with the people most exposed to health risks and in permanent contact with them

Those affected by the decision must continue to adhere to the precautionary measures in place, including a two-meter safety distance at all workplaces.

There should also be separate entry and exit points for employees to minimize shared spaces.

Returning employees will need to undergo temperature checks and comply with all other health mandates, including the flexible attendance system to avoid overcrowding. Employee fingerprint tracking systems will remain shut down, with disinfection procedures and awareness campaigns continuing.

The circular underlines the need to ensure the full preparation of all workplaces for the reception of employees in terms of the continuous application of all the health mandates taken at the national level and the availability of favorable infrastructures allowing people working remotely to carry out their missions in the best possible way.

Wearing masks and gloves is mandatory while employees are in the office, according to the circular.
