Cavendish Maxwell appoints Taylor as Group CEO

Cavendish Maxwell, one of the leading independent consultancy firms and real estate consultants in the Middle East, has appointed Chris Taylor, former CEO of Abu Dhabi Finance, as Group CEO.

This appointment is in line with Cavendish Maxwell’s plans to further expand its operations in the region with new offices and service lines.

In 2021, the company opened its fourth UAE office in Ajman and an office in Manama, Bahrain, establishing a presence in three countries including Oman.

Taylor brings over 25 years of experience in real estate and financial services, including the last 14 years in the United Arab Emirates, most recently with Abu Dhabi Finance. Taylor has been instrumental in building an impressive portfolio of assets through a strategy of geographic expansion and product diversification.

While there, Abu Dhabi Finance received numerous accolades including Top 3 SME Great Place to Work, Best Retail Finance Company and Best Home Finance Company. Prior to joining Abu Dhabi Finance, Taylor was Acting CEO of National Bank of Fujairah and was responsible for leading the bank during the 2008 financial crisis. Prior to moving to the United Arab Emirates, Taylor worked at Bank of America and Deloitte in Europe and North America.

Taylor is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) and is currently Vice President of the INSEAD National Alumni Association in the United Arab Emirates.
