Prior to joining the Ajman Free Zone (AFZ), HE held various senior positions in the marine and maritime industry where he gained significant experience in leading an organization. Armed with leadership expertise acquired in his previous roles, he was appointed Director General of the AFZ in 2020.

Since taking office, AFZ has experienced significant growth and passed several milestones. During the first half of 2021, the AFZ recorded a 35% increase in the number of newly registered companies compared to the same period in 2020. This year, 867 newly registered companies were registered in the free zone against 567 companies Last year. Their number reached a total of 1,717 in 2020, while their operational performance increased by 23% compared to 2019.
