Ajman’s government becomes first in UAE to adopt UAE Pass

The Ajman Digital Department successfully linked the “Al-Tarish” system to the UAE pass, making Ajman the first of the UAE to adopt the UAE pass in all correspondence and its official procedures between government entities of the Emirate.

The UAE Pass is a national digital identity (digital signature) for citizens and residents of the United Arab Emirates.

Commenting on the announcement, Ohoud Shehail, director general of Ajman’s Digital Department, said: “We have successfully linked Al-Tarish, the Emirate’s internal correspondence system between government entities and institutions employed in Ajman. , with the national digital identity, the United Arab Emirates. Pass, which ensured a smooth workflow and increased security and reliability. “

In turn, Dina Fares, director of digital transformation in the department of Digital Ajman, said that by using the UAE Pass, government entities and their customers will be able to access a unified entry system, thus completely abandoning the traditional signing. .

Fares explained that the project went through a number of vital milestones that led to its success. They started this project based on user needs and requirements, studying their models, orienting users on the advantages of a centralized digital signature mechanism.

The system is expected to be launched by mid-October 2020 in all Ajman entities.
