Ajman: The Ajman Tourism Development Department (Ajman Tourism) organized a familiarization tour for Managing Directors of government departments and Managing Directors of hotel establishments in the emirate, introducing them to the newly renovated Ajman Museum and its various sections, to capitalize on the role that government entities and the private sector play as ambassadors of the emirate in accentuating the cultural and historical identity of Ajman.

The significance of this tour stems from Ajman Tourism’s efforts to develop partnerships between government agencies and the private sector, as such collaborative efforts are a key factor in maintaining and supporting the economic and tourism sectors. The visit aims to encourage the employees of these entities to become the first ambassadors of the Ajman Museum and to publicize the beautiful historical and tourist attractions of the emirate.

During the visit, the officials familiarized themselves with the different sections of the Ajman Museum, the largest museum in the emirate, and its great importance for the ruling family and the citizens of Ajman. The museum was opened in 1991 by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and was recently reopened to the public by His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council of Ajman.

In addition, His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman and a member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates, spent his childhood and youth there, making it one of the most visited historical places in the country. he emirate is the amazing collection of artifacts. , in addition to a set of antiquities discovered in the region from previous civilizations, and photo collections recounting the ways of life of the past to introduce visitors to the Emirati heritage in the pre-oil era.

The significance of the familiarization tour is to strengthen the role of museums in preserving the heritage and cultural heritage of the emirate, and to celebrate its authentic history and culture, as a first step towards the future, should preserve the ancient heritage in its material and moral aspects.

The museum also contains 24 sections, including the chamber of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, in which the ruler spent many years of his childhood and youth, the Old Market section, Traditional Medicine and Herbal Medicine, the living room, the traditional clothing room and a section specializing in fishing, pearl fishing and agriculture.

The dignitaries were introduced to the smart application of the Ajman Museum and the visual identity of the museum, to provide a unique interactive experience enhanced by the latest technologies to stimulate all the senses, through the exhibits annotated in Arabic and English, where the Ajman Smart App Museum aims to promote it and its features through a brief overview of what the visitor can see. It also offers a detailed audio-guided tour of all sections of the museum, site map, working hours and how to get to the museum.
