Ajman Free Zone and Zajel sign MoU to offer shipping services

Ajman Free Zone (AFZ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zajel, a company specializing in logistics and transportation.

The collaboration will enable AFZ’s business partners and customers to benefit from services provided by Zajel locally and internationally, including delivery and e-commerce services and solutions; international import and export services; and land, sea and air freight services.

Ali AlSuwaidi, Managing Director of Ajman Free Zone, said, “Through this MoU, we will make it easier for investors and members of the local business community to access a wide variety of delivery and shipping services. . These services will be available locally and internationally, with competitive rates and the highest levels of efficiency. The AFZ will continue to expand its cooperation with its public and private sector partners to establish a comprehensive system that supports investment through services and facilities, improves the competitiveness of the local business environment and its ability to attract foreign investment, and increase the momentum of trade and investment activities as essential pillars of a more diversified and sustainable economy.

Yousuf Alkhaja, CEO of Zajel, said, “The MoU was signed in line with our vision to provide flexible solutions and innovative services that meet the needs of different types of customers and keep pace with accelerated growth in the field of logistics and transport. . Under this agreement, a logistics and delivery service platform is provided as part of the suite of value-added services that AFZ offers to its business partners and customers. This platform will meet the growing needs for last-mile delivery services. The established partnership will help achieve the strategic objectives of both parties to provide various services that meet international standards and improve customer experience.

This decision is part of the AFZ’s vision to expand its cooperation with partners, including service providers, institutions and governmental and private companies, the official press agency W.A.M. reported.

AFZ recorded 4% annual growth in 2021, registering 1,792 new businesses.
